World Hearing Week 2021 marks a global call for action to address hearing loss and ear diseases .

Ear disease and associated hearing loss are significant health problems contribute to poor educational achievement, higher unemployment, and, as a consequence, greater contact with the criminal justice system later in life.

Ms Allnut , a Palawa woman and the first Indigenous Audiologist to graduate from the University of Qld says how programs are delivered to communities plays an important role in addressing ear disease.
