Minister says Aboriginal people will be " front and centre" at new gallery ......

The NT Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage Chansey Paech has announced the new Senior Director who will lead the delivery of the National Aboriginal Art Gallery in Mbantwe Alice Springs

Tracy Puklowski will take up the role in late May and will give input into the design of the gallery as well as developing content and engaging with stakeholders.

Ms Puklowski has served as the General Manager of Creative Arts and Cultural Services at the City of Launceston, which includes directing the Queen Victoria Museum and Gallery.

In her previous roles she has worked closely with First Nations artists to foster their work in both Launceston and her home country of New Zealand

Mr Paech said recruitment is also underway to employ five officers who will work with Ms Pulowski to ensure Aboriginal people are front and centre at the gallery
