Encouraging signs for more black voices through Australia's media

Two First Nations journalists have just completed the inaugural 12 week Walkley Foundation Young Indigenous scholarships. They were both working in Sydney supported by a $10,000 stipend each to cover living expenses for the scholarship duration. The scholarship also matched them with a mentor from the media industry and undertake work with both Junkee Media and 10 News First.

One of the scholarship recipients, Balanggarra and Yolŋgu woman Molly Hunt spoke to CAAMA's Philippe Perez about her experience working as part of the scholarship (download audio below).
