A new Healing Circle group launched in Alice Springs is aiming to support Aboriginal women who have had a close family member or friend die by suicide.
With help from local Arrente women and local Aboriginal controlled organisations, the discussions will support women's suicide bereavement.
Laurencia Grant from the Mental Health Association of Central Australia (MHACA) said the gatherings will look to share ideas with supportive discussion and healing.
Ms Grant spoke to CAAMA's Jenni Hubert (see audio below).
The Healing Circle takes place every Wednesday at Olive Pink Botanical Gardens at 10:30am. For more information contact MHACA on (08) 8950 4600 or visit mhaca.org.au
