We're all in this together - Beating Coronavirus in Remote Communities

A peak Central Australian based health research body has called for decisive and urgent action on the prevention of COVID-19 virus spreading to remote Aboriginal communities.

The Central Australia Academic Health Science Network Director, Chips Mackinolty, says there is a collective responsibility at all levels of government and health service delivery to keep people safe and that absolute priority needs to be given to minimising risk and preventing death in communities across central Australia.

Mr Mackinolty told CAAMA Radio that the elderly in remote communities are most at risk and that families need to keep a close eye on their older relatives.
