Aboriginal surgeon/ Associate Professor Kelvin Kong
is keen to break down existing methods of health care delivery into First Nations communities and says it is important that local people become a part of the job creation equation.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are currently 10 times more likely to have ear and hearing loss problems than other young Australians… but an already available workforce in communities is not being utilised.
Dr Kong, Australia's first Aboriginal surgeon believes sustainable community delivery of health care is now a priority.
