A veteran Central Australian health professional has moved to ease local fears about the spread of the coronavirus… and says containment is the most significant factor in slowing down how quickly it spreads.

Dr John Boffa a GP and the public health medical officer at the Central Australian Aboriginal Health Congress in Alice Springs, says only those who have visited countries in the past few weeks where coronavirus is active… or have had contact with others who have visited these countries need to make phone contact with their clinics..

Speaking on CAAMA RADIO Dr Boffa says Central Australians need to know that Congress and allied health services are heavily involved in the planning process to ensure they can cope if things move to epidemic status.
