(Waskam) Emelda Davis the President of the National Australian South Sea Islander Association (NASSIA)

Emelda speaks with CAAMA’s Josef Jakamarra Egger in response to the PM Scott Morrison’s remarks on slavery in NSW and shares what her organisation is doing, in continuing to fight for recognition and truthtelling of the true history of slavery within Australia.

Ms Davis talks to CAAMA about how slavery contributed to Australia's economic success, "The economic base, sugar, pastoral, maritime industries, working on railways, cotton. Just contributions all across this land that need to be acknowledged..."
