The ride helping raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention

16th Jul 2019

In an effort to raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide prevention, people across Australia will come together over their shared interest in motorcycles as part of the Black Dog Ride.

On July 26th around 50 Black Dog Riders will travel more than 15,000 km as they embark on a journey travelling clockwise around Australia starting from Busselton Western Australia. 2019 marks ten years since the first Black Dog Ride Around Australia.

The 35-day event will see riders travel to around 200 communities and groups, with around 400 additional riders participating within their townships or jurisdictions.

CAAMA Radio spoke with Jon Benham, Assistant Coordinator of the Black Dog Ride Around Australia.
