New adult literacy programs planned for Ltyentye Apurte

4th Mar 2019

An Aboriginal adult literacy course which has had success in Western NSW, is now coming to remote communities. The Literacy For Life Foundation is planning to run a course in the community of Ltyentye Apurte.

The course is based on a similar learning model developed in Cuba and has been used in many other countries to help disadvantaged groups improve their literacy skills.

CAAMA's Philippe Perez spoke to Wendy Smyth & Samantha Bell from the foundation who are currently looking to run surveys to kick off the program in the area later in the year.
