Deputy Leader of the Opposition visits Alice Springs

Labor’s Deputy Opposition leader has pledged to fund new playgrounds in remote Aboriginal Communities in Central Australia if elected in the upcoming federal election.

At a press conference in Alice Springs the Shadow Minister for Education and Training, Tanya Plibersek, announced that in collaboration with Children’s Ground in Alice Springs, five hundred and eighty eight thousand dollars would go towards building seven new playgrounds.

Children's Ground is an organisation which aims to address poverty and inequity in order to improve the lives of children and families.
