Remembering WWI Stories On Untyeyetwelye (ANZAC Hill)

12th Nov 2018

On Remembrance Day this year Alice Springs was host to a number of events to commemorate those from Central Australia who served Australia during wartime.

As the sun went down over Untyeyetwelye ANZAC Hill on November 11th, about 70 people gathered to listen to stories of those who fought in World War I.

The event was also launched an app project by the Alice Springs Peace Action Think Tank or APPSAT. The group, in partnership with 8CCC Community Radio - brought together a series of audio stories, voices and images in an accessible form, to enhance the experience for anyone visiting to ANZAC Hill.

Philippe Perez spoke to a number of people involved in the project who all introduce themselves at the beginning of this interview.
