Amoonguna Community Showcased in Films About Money Management
The Aboriginal community of Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa), 85 km east of Alice Springs has been named the Territory’s Tidy Town for 2018.
The community was also named the winner in other categories, including community participation winner and best medium.
Other winners included Apatula (Finke), which took out the resource recovery and waste management award, Minjilang took out Litter management winner and Mcdonnell Regional Council took out Best Regional Council
Ltyentye Apurte educator Justin Colley who received the award in Darwin on behalf of the community spoke to CAAMA's Lorena Walker & Damien Williams about why it is important to keep NT communities clean.
