The inaugural National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Suicide Prevention Conference is taking place  in Alice Springs this week.

 The head of  Western Australia's Supreme Court, Chief Justice Wayne Martin , has described the states jailing of Aboriginal people as "very depressing".

    An Western Australian based Aboriginal foundation is looking  to broaden  its focus while  encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people  join the workforce.
