 A Queensland based historian who has been researching the non payment of wages  held in trust by Governments for Aboriginal and Torres strait Islanders says the practice is  a truth in our history that needs to be fixed up.

More than 50 people have attended a public hearing in Alice Springs as part of the Royal Commission into the protection and detention of children in the Northern Territory.

A new smartphone designed to  monitor heart  abnormality rates in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders is being  trialled  in a number of  communities across the country.
