A peak  Aboriginal Legal Service which has an important  role to play in the royal commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory says a lack of funding is prohibiting its  capacity to deliver the best possible information to the commission.

 The  Federal Minister responsible for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders has shown a  more conciliatory approach in his dealings with the National Congress of Australia's First Peoples.
