Addressing indigenous incarceration in Australia....its a slow process but something needs to be done !

A peak Australian legal research body  is calling for  for more Aboriginal courts to help reduce the growing numbers of indigenous Australians in prison.

The Northern Territory and Western Australia  have some of the highest rates on  indigenous incarceration  in the  world.

A recent two day conference  in Alice Springs hosted  by  the Australian Institute of Judicial Administration  was attended by prominent legal practitioners from o'seas and nationally to discuss a broad range of issues  surrounding  Aboriginal incarceration rates.
