Hundreds of Aboriginal people from Mpartnwe/Alice Springs, local town camps and surrounding remote communities attended a highly successful community gathering to progress and develop a culturally appropriate response to address crime and social issues impacting across all of Central Australia.
“We are not the problem we are the solution. We need to be listened to.”
The meeting which lasted for more than three hours attracted a diverse range of Aboriginal people including local Arrernte Elders and leaders from other communities including Ntaria,Yuendumu and Ltyente Apurte.
