Declan Furber Gillick was born in Mpartnwe/Alice Springs and is the son of veteran Stolen Generations campaigner – highly respected Arrernte man- the late Mr H.Furber and Vicki Gillick, policy coordinator of lobby group The People’s Alcohol Action Coalition.
The moment that I yelled out was in response to when the speaker asserted that any time that anyone sees kids on the street outside of school hours they should call the police and I actually think that’s a very dangerous thing to be asserting !
