Salil Shetty, the Global Director of Amnesty International… one of the world’s peak human rights organisations… has travelled to Utopia in the NT to witness first-hand the effects that Government policies have had on the lives of Aboriginal people…and to shine a spotlight on the human rights issues of our country.
Mr Shetty and representatives from Amnesty International were in Alice Springs over the weekend.
Nerida Currey caught up with Sarah Marland, to hear Amnesty’s stance on a number of issues facing Aboriginal people in Australia.
