Volunteering SA & NT aims to lead, encourage and support all efforts through volunteering to build community spirit.
They work in partnership with volunteers, volunteer involving organisations in the not-for-profit, business and public sectors.
The voluntary effort is valued at over $10billion annually in SA. But you cannot put a price on the smile of a young person learning to read, an older person having a day out at the footy for the first time in years or the fact we can all breathe a little easier thanks to the millions of trees planted by volunteers. Nor can we put a price on the social and economic dividends of cultural tolerance, community cohesion and engaged citizenship that is initiated and fostered by volunteers.
