Calls for further support of Aboriginal communities to break the cycle of intergenerational trauma

Last week Western Australian Coroner Ros Fogliani handed down her report on the inquest into the deaths of 13 Aboriginal children in the Kimberley Region.

In her findings the coroner linked youth suicide to the effects of intergenerational trauma. This prompted calls for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to receive more support in dealing with trauma.
