Scholars explore relationship between First Nations peoples and settler Australians

6th Dec 2018

In Victoria a team of multidisciplinary academics have come together to look at the relationship between First Nations peoples and settler Australians.

Indigenous Settler Relations Collaboration is based at the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Arts and has identified Indigenous futures, treaty, and economic sovereignty as their three research priorities for 2019.

The research aims to create new pathways and new ways of thinking, while improving relationships and understandings between Indigenous Australians and settler Australians.

Kyle Dowling spoke with Professor Sarah Maddison co-director of ISRC.
