The Post School Options for Young People with Disabilities Gap Needs Analysis project seeks to assist in the development of meaningful post schoolwork and activity options for young people with disabilities who have high needs.
The project aims to identify potential long term solutions by examining local opportunities as well as best practice examples around Australia. As part of the consultation process a series of focus groups is being organised. The focus group meetings will inform the project and assist to identify the major themes for development.
Initially three focus group meetings forparents and carers have been arranged but more will be organisedif it is felt necessary. The number of participants in each meeting will be limited to ten in order to enable effective interaction.
Parents/carers are welcome to attend any focus group regardless of which school their student attends.
Focus Group meetings organized are:
* 9 August from 11:00am until 12:30pm at Acacia Hill School
* 14 August from 5:30pm-7:00pm at Centralian Senior College
* 16 August from 1:00pm until 2:30pm at Centralian Middle School
