The breakfast television program Sunrise has once again been confronted by Aboriginal protesters this time during a live broadcast from the Gold Coast.
The program was interrupted by about a hundred people who were in the area protesting the treatment of First Nations people since the Commonwealth Games started last week.
Aboriginal rights campaigners Dylan Voller & Ruby Wharton where not at the Sunrise protests but are taking part in the wider campsite setup at the Commonwealth games. The camp is called “Freedom Camp’ and hosts forums, public discussions and provides a space for non-indigenous Australians and international visitors to understand more about the effects of colonisation on First Nations people.
They both took some time while driving to another protest on the Gold Coast to talk to Philippe Perez.
