Male Volunteers Needed for Red Cross 'Home Runners' Program in Alice Springs

10th Jul 2018

The Red Cross in Mparntwe/ Alice Springs are looking for Aboriginal male Volunteers to be a part of their ‘Home Runners’ Program…

The Red Cross in Alice Springs is a small team that runs a range of community engagement programs including work with women groups and the youth.

Recently, members of the greater Alice Springs community have been vocal in raising their concerns and pro-active solutions to anti-social behaviour and youth related issues in the town.

Last month a forum was held at the Town Council’s Andy McNeil Room to discuss a potential 24 hour Alice Springs youth centre.

There are however, many programs already in place that the community may want to engage with. Luke Kalaf is from the Red Cross in Alice Springs and he explained the ‘Home Runners’ program to CAAMA's Teghan Hughes.

If you would like to be involved please contact Luke on 0448 354 578.
