The South Australian Marshall Liberal Government has announced a six million dollar cut to Aboriginal Affairs, along with grant funding paid to SA Native Title Services which engages in Native Title negotiations with the state.
The Marshall Government will also halve of the number of staff working in the Department of Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation division, including the removal of the Office of the Treaty Commissioner.
Tauto Sansbury, a Narungga man from Point Pearce Mission on the Yorke Peninsula says although he knew that the Marshall government would drop the states Treaty negotiations before it won Government…an even bigger concern is that the Premier is also the Minister responsible for Aboriginal Affairs..
