A Central Australian based mental health academic says both  policy changes  and a greater upskilling of  local  Aboriginal people are necessary to ensure the future viability and  delivery of effective  health  services into remote Aboriginal communities.

Prof. Tim Carey from the Alice Springs based Centre for Remote Health was recently awarded a Fullbright Scholarship which will allow him to travel to the United states later this year to  look at  effective and evidence based delivery of health services to remote regions.
