Constitutional recognition is only a small part of the big picture equation as far as the recognition of the first nation’s peoples in the Australian constitution according to delegates that attended the First Nations Regional Dialogue in Sydney.

Co-convenor of the gathering NSW Aboriginal Land Council Chair Roy Ah-See, told CAAMA Radio the discussions were centred around the best way forward for Aboriginal people.

But not all Aboriginal people were happy with the discussions Ghillar Michael Anderson, from the Sovereign Union of First Nations Peoples was critical of the process, and called for more discussions in communities that people can really understand.
