A long-serving Northern Territory health worker who has received the Central Australia Health Service’s Administrator Medal in Primary Health Care is calling for more Aboriginal health care workers, particularly in the NT .
Arrente woman and health worker Frances Turner was awarded the medal for over 50 years of service to remote communities. She was presented the medal for her collaborative work with other health care workers in a number of areas including adolescent health education, Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder prevention and sexual abuse prevention.
