A member of the Stolen Generation has been recognised by Curtin University for her work in Aboriginal Communities in WA.
Wilman & Goreng Goreng woman Angela Ryder was awarded the university's John Curtin Medal recognising her leadership in the community. She helped establish the National Empowerment Project, a program which provides support for Aboriginal people experiencing trauma in their families. She was also involved in establishing NAIDOC celebrations in the WA city of Gosnells.
