Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association has always had an ongoing commitment to developing its recording capabilities but before CAAMA Radio could broadcast Aboriginal music, it needed to be recorded.
CAAMA Music has since become an important centre for recording, producing and distributing many Aboriginal bands throughout Australia.

CAAMA Music encourages artists to record songs in their own language to help preserve their culture identity. The styles of music that CAAMA Music record, are as diverse as the communities from which they stem. We are dedicated to the development of Aboriginal musicians and taking their music to Australian and Overseas Markets.
CAAMA has a 24-track studio (currently in need of replacement), one resident engineers (under grant funding for 2 years only) and many regular guest producers. The studio is also available for filming video clips and commercial recording work. A regular production schedule of new tapes and compact discs has met a growing market calling for more Aboriginal music.
Whether you are a band looking for a studio for your next session, or a producer needing a fully equipped recording studio, CAAMA is the ideal place to record your next album.
