This unique album was created by CAAMA Music Label for an outreach music project called POPPORTUNITY for local youth talent in Alice Springs and Indigenous Community bands out at Yuedumu. Professional producers were deliberately selected for these two areas to develop and create the fusion of the desert reggae sounds and contemporary flow of the newly created material. These songs were created at the height of the dreaded swine flu so special mention to those who were able to participate in the actual recording. These producers were chartered to work with seriously young youths from as young as 13yrs to 25 in Alice Springs, to develop their songs into a radio friendly format and the experience of the whole creation process was invaluable for these young participants. As the talents of the youth from both communities were encouraged to grow, develop and create a product which CAAMA Music are proud to put their stamp of approval to mark it their own, this has been such a success that the objectives for this project has superseded the expectations of the project.
