Cold Turkey (2003)

“You can pick your mates but you can’t pick your family.”

Cold Turkey explores the relationship of two brothers against a back drop of manipulative mind games.  Shane’s brother Robby is leaving for a job in the opal fields of Coober Pedy.  Feeling abandoned Shane plots a way to join his brother but better yet for his brother to stay in Alice Springs. Urging Robby to hit the town on their last night together Shane takes his brother on a dark emotional ride where Robby has to decipher fact from fiction.  A story of disempowerment and the breaking of a spirit, in the name of “brotherly love”.
