Wai palya! (Hello)
My name is Minungka (pronounced: MIN-NOOK-CAR) McInerney but I’m better known as “Nooksy”. I’m a CAAMA Radio news broadcaster and I love working in Indigenous media. My Anangu Yankunytjatjara / Arabunna family on Mum’s side come from a small Aboriginal community called Dunjiba or more famously known as Oodnadatta in the northern part of South Australia. I’ve been with CAAMA Radio for two years now and I’ve got to say it’s a huge honour to represent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our network (One Mob strong).
I love Indigenous broadcasting and it’s a great opportunity for me to strengthen my networking, pride and identity which is something us mob should be doing, so that we can help each other to be our true selves without judgment in the wider community.
“Stay strong, proud and deadly whoever you are, lots of love from Nooksy.”

Sales and Marketing.
Hi, Im Erica, the Sales and Marketing person for CAAMA radio. I was born in Victoria and grew up in Djadjawurung country where my ancestorscome from. I have three kids and we have been living here in Alice Springs for three years now.
Doing radio advertising is very interesting and challenging job with lots of different things to learn about all the time. One of the best parts of my job is getting interpreters in to do translations of adds and messages into our local languages. The CAAMA radio crew are a great bunch of people to work with and we all love working in our community, here in Alice Springs and in the remote areas.
