The majority of our creative teams work with us on a freelance basis, are mostly multi-skilled and take on various roles depending on the project.
If you are interested in working with CAAMA Productions please contact us. It is best to send us a resume that outlines:
- Your interest in media production
- Any media training, experience or qualifications you have
- The type of roles you would like to take on a CAAMA production
- Why you would like to work with CAAMA productions
- What skills development and or training you would require
Training opportunities sometimes arise to give budding Indigenous filmmakers the chance to work with some of Australia’s big name Indigenous filmmakers. If you are Indigenous, hard working and have an interest in film and television production in Central Australia, we would love to hear from you.
In particular if you are someone who is organised, likes organising and is interested in working in the film industry, we’d like to hear from you. We are always looking for people who are keen to be trained as Production Managers and Producers.
The film producer is the person responsible for creating the conditions for making and delivering films. The producer initiates, co-ordinates, supervises and controls matters such as fund-raising, hiring key personnel and arranging for distributors. The producer is involved throughout all phases of the film-making process from development to completion of a project. While producing is not seen as a glamorous role, it is the key role, without which productions do not occur in a profesisonal manner, and without which screen agencies or clients will not consider funding investments.
Producers and their support staff as production managers are the people who makes things happen. Experienced Indigenous producers are highly sought after around the country.
If you are interesting in writing Indigenous stories for consideration, we would also like to hear from you.
